1 Homicide, 8 Rapes in Troy in 2014: FBI Crime Stats

The FBI has released its Crime in the United States report for 2014.

Troy reported one homicide and eight rapes last year, according to the the FBI’s recently released Crime in the United States report for 2014,

Property crimes were the most frequently reported crimes in the city, according to the report.

Troy, with a population of 83,279, reported the following:

  • Violent crime: 50
  • Murder and non-negligent homicide: 1
  • Rape: 8
  • Robbery: 10
  • Aggravated assault: 31
  • Property crime: 1,359
  • Burglary: 156
  • Larceny-theft: 1,133
  • Motor vehicle theft: 70
  • Arson: 1

As a whole, Oakland County reported:

  • Violent crime: 934
  • Murder and non-negligent homicide: 6
  • Rape: 111
  • Robbery: 155
  • Aggravated assault: 662
  • Property crime: 3,723
  • Burglary: 926
  • Larceny-theft: 2,508
  • Motor vehicle theft: 289
  • Arson: 55
