1 Injured In Shooting Outside Troy Restaurant: Police

Investigators do not believe the shooting was random and said there is no elevated threat to the community.

TROY, MI — A woman was injured in a shooting at a Troy restaurant Monday evening, according to police.

Officers found the woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her leg and hip area inside a car outside of Ruth’s Chris Steak House, located at 755 W Big Beaver Rd. in Tory at 6:34 p.m., according to police.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

A second woman and a 4-year-old child, who were with the victim, were not injured in the shooting, according to police.

Investigators learned a white Dodge Durango was potentially involved in the shooting and immediately notified other officers in the area, according to police.

Hazel Park officers found a white Dodge Durango driving south on Interstate 75 and chased it to the area of Linwood and Warren Avenue in Detroit where they lost it, according to police.

A round fragment also struck the front door of the Troy restaurant, shattering the outside pane, according to police.

Investigators determined that the victim and/or the accompanying witness were specifically targeted in the shooting, according to police.

Police were still investigating the shooting and asked anyone with information to call police at 248-524-0777.
