“This is something we had been hoping to achieve since 2008. Not only will it assist our staff, physicians and nurses, we have volunteers and medical students this will help. It provides them training for complex illness and injuries,” Beaumont Hospital – Troy President Nancy Susick said.
The Moceris’ gift will also allow the hospital to finish construction and equip a 12-bed, private-room intensive care unit.
The Moceris, who own Moceri Development, said they were approached by Beaumont
“You don’t become poor from giving,” Dominic Moceri said. “We learned long ago that our primary focus has to be to create communities that are not only beautiful but sustainable, healthy places for families to live.”
“I said to my husband that we should do this,” Frances Moceri said. “We have been so fortunate and our greatest joy is giving to causes that help make lives better. We are very excited about what is going to happen at Beaumont because this gift will help prevent illnesses, save lives and take care of those who need first rate medical attention.”
