5 People Break Into Troy Pharmacy, Try Taking Prescription Drugs: Cops
Five people were arrested Sunday morning after prosecutors said they broke into a Troy pharmacy and tried stealing prescription drugs.

TROY, MI — Five people were arrested Sunday morning after prosecutors said they broke into a Troy pharmacy and tried stealing prescription drugs.
Isaiah Duncan, 20, Ario Stephens, 24, Shaun Lewis, 24, Jaevion Hackett, 20, and Alvin Whidby, 42, were each charged with breaking and entering a building with intent, according to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office.
Each suspect was placed in jail on the following bond amounts: Stephens ($1 million), Whidby ($750,000), Duncan ($250,000), Hackett ($250,000) and Lewis ($50,000). All five are from out-of-state, prosecutors said.

Police installed surveillance cameras around a pharmaceutical business on the 1200 block of Rankin Street in Troy on Friday after another police department warned them the group was targeting the business, police said.
Two days later on Sunday, police found two vehicles pared outside the business and two people on top of the building cutting a hole through an overhead garage door, police said.

An employee then saw the two robbers on surveillance cameras inside the building trying to break into a secure area where prescription drugs were stored away, police said.
The employee called police, who found Duncan and Stephens inside the building and arrested them without incident, police said.
Officers then found Hackett, Whidby and Lewis in the area inside the two vehicles that were seen outside the business, police said.
