7 Charged for Underage Drinking As Police Break Up Fight
Police reportedly smell boozy breath, administer blood alcohol tests.
TROY, MI – Troy police arrested seven people for underaged drinking after they were called to break up a fight at a home in the 4000 block of Wentworth Avenue about 2:45 a.m. Sunday.

A 19-year-old man who initially allowed a police officer to enter the home, but reportedly “had second thoughts” and tried to push the officer out the door, WWJ reports.

The teen was arrested for assault and battery of a police officer, and also advised that he would be charged with underage consumption of alcohol after they smelled his boozy breath.
Six other people, all under the age of 21, were also charged with misdemeanors for underage alcohol consumption after they submitted to breath tests. They ranged in age from 18 to 20. The highest recorded BAC was 0.18 percent.
