Troy Gym Owner Appointed To Michigan Board Of Physical Therapy

TROY, MI — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has appointed a Troy gym owner to the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy.

Lissa Pietrykowski, owner of Peak Physique Fitness and Peak Women, will fill the seat of La’Nik St. Julien, who resigned.

Pietrykowski's term began last Thursday and runs through Dec. 31, 2027.

She is the ninth member added to the board, which operates under the Public Health Code and oversees the licensure and regulation of physical therapy practitioners across the state.

"I am honored to serve on the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy and to contribute to the protection of public health at the state level," Pietrykowski said. "My work in fitness has always been rooted in helping people move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives. I look forward to bringing that perspective to the board."

Pietrykowski brings a background in fitness and education to the state licensing board. She has worked as a personal trainer for the past 12 years.

Additionally, she holds a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Michigan and a postgraduate certificate in elementary education from Eastern Michigan University.
