TROY, MI — A car crashed into a Troy home last Thursday, according to fire officials.
Officials did not say exactly where the crash happened, but said there were no injuries.
"Fire fighters secured the scene and shut off utilities to the residence to reduce potential hazards," officials said. "Crews then worked alongside A&M towing to remove the vehicle from the structure."
The homeowner, Chad Bemb, told WXYZ that he and his girlfriend were lucky to have not been injured in the crash.
"From what the neighbors said, it was a high rate of speed. He came in... you can see where the bumper hit, and then it sent parts everywhere and then he continued into the house," Bemb said.
Bemb added they "basically lost kind of everything."
Investigators believe alcohol may have played a role in the crash and arrested the driver.
