Girl Scouts from Avondale School District collected 257 pounds of food for Gleaners Food Bank during their annual fall event at the .
More than 60 girls attended the event on Nov. 6. The scouts who attend go to school at Woodland Elementary in Troy; Auburn Elementary in Auburn Hills; Deerfield Elementary in Rochester Hills; Graham Elementary, in Auburn Hills; and Avondale Middle School, in Rochester Hills.
