The judges of Oakland County’s 6th Circuit Court, Probate Court and District Court are overwhelmingly behind the five members of the Unity Slate for the November 6th election.
The Unity Slate is comprised of five 6th Circuit Court judges: Judge Leo Bowman, Judge Phyllis McMillen, Judge Denise Langford Morris, Judge Wendy Potts and Judge Michael Warren. Together, these award-winning judges have over 50 years of combined experience on the Sixth Circuit bench, and represent appointments made by both Democratic and Republican governors.
“The Oakland County Circuit Court is one of the most efficient and effective in the state in large part because of the efforts of these five judges,” Chief Circuit Judge Pro Tempore Shalina Kumar said. “They work hard to ensure the safety of our families.”

In addition, Court of Appeals Judge Amy Ronayne Krause has also endorsed the slate.
“These five judges have earned the respect of their colleagues on the Oakland County bench because they are all rule-of-law judges. They are tough, but fair,” Chief Probate Judge Linda Hallmark said.
“It is an honor for us to work with this talented group of judges in serving Oakland County and we are grateful for their support of the Unity Slate,” said Judge Langford Morris, speaking on behalf of the five judges. “They share the Unity Slate’s belief in the importance of serving our community through a non-partisan, independent judiciary.”
These endorsements come on the heels of an endorsement by countywide officials, including: Clerk Bill Bullard, Water Resources Commissioner John McCullogh, and Treasurer Andy Meisner. The slate’s co-chairs are County Executive L. Brooks Patterson and former Governor James Blanchard. Additional major endorsements will be announced in the near future.
