Disorderly Conduct at Macy's and More Reported to Troy Police
The following information about police incidents is taken directly from the most recent Troy Police Department media releases.

Altercations/disorderly conduct
South Boulevard and Coolidge, Sept. 6, 12:44 p.m.: Troy officers responded to complaint of a person acting strangely in the parking lot. The suspect was observed jumping up down on his vehicle which had obscenities painted all over it. Officers located the suspect at Oakland Mall and who was aggressively trying to enter Macy’s. Officers attempted to stop the suspect; however he became aggressive and had to be restrained. Officers suffered minor injuries. The suspect was arrested for felony assault and battery, reckless driving, hinder and obstruct, and operating under the influence of drugs.
Credit, check, identity theft, other fraud
Saks Fifth Ave, 2800 W. Big Beaver Rd., Sept. 4, 12 noon to 1 p.m.: Complainant advised his Saks Fifth Ave. credit card was used to make purchases totaling $3,667.38. Complainant reported no one had permission to use his charge.
2000 block of Highbury, Aug. 12-23, 12 noon: Resident reported he was contacted by Discover that purchases were attempted on his card in Ohio. Resident also discovered in Wisconsin his Kohl’s charge had been used for purchases totaling $1,200. Resident advised no one had permission to use his information.

Driving under influence of alcohol/drugs
Woodslee and John R Road, Sept. 7, 12:35 a.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle after observing it go through a red light. The driver appeared to be confused and could not locate her driver’s license. The driver had a suspended license and multiple warrants for her arrest. The driver failed field sobriety tests. In the suspect’s vehicle were the suspect’s twin seven year olds. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, child endangerment, and driving while license suspended. Breath test results were .20 percent.
Interstate-75 and Crooks, Sept. 7, 1:47 a.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle driving without tail lights. The driver admitted she had been at a club and had been drinking. The driver failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .10 percent.

Interstate-75 and West Fourteen Mile Road, Sept. 8, 2:20 a.m.: Troy officers stopped a vehicle for failing to stop for a stop sign. Officers detected a strong odor of intoxicants coming from the interior of the vehicle. The driver admitted to drinking and had slurred speech. The driver failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Breath test results were .17 percent. The passenger of the vehicle was extremely intoxicated and transported to the hotel she was staying at, however she refused to get out of the patrol vehicle. The passenger became irate and told officers she wanted to go to jail. After several attempts to get the passenger out of the patrol car she was arrested for hinder and obstruct.
Larcenies
1000 block of Cadmus, Sept. 4-6, 12 midnight to 8 a.m.: Resident advised his detached garage was broken into and his Taylor made golf clubs, lawn equipment, chainsaw, Redmax Blower, Stihl edger and Dewalt drill pack were stolen. The amount of the missing equipment was $3,325.
Larcenies from autos
2000 block of Taylor, Aug. 27 to Sept. 5, 3 p.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Resident advised his license plate was stolen off his vehicle.
2000 block of Roundtree, Sept. 1-8, 12 noon: Resident advised he was loading groceries in his trunk and noticed the wrong license plate was on his vehicle. The plate was checked and had been reported stolen from the same complex as complainant resides. The plate was confiscated.
Sears, 300 W. Fourteen Mile Rd., Sept. 8, 3-5 p.m.: Complainant advised he parked his 2011 Jeep in the lot. When he returned he discovered his driver’s side rear window smashed and his Apple Macbook Pro missing. Complainant valued the computer at $3,800.
Retail fraud
Kohl’s, 500 John R Rd., Sept. 7, 1:13 p.m.: Loss prevention advised the suspect was observed selecting merchandise and enter the fitting rooms. The suspect concealed the merchandise in his pants. The suspect exited the store without paying for merchandise. Loss prevention stopped the suspect and recovered the merchandise valued at $300. The suspect had prior convictions for retail fraud and was arrested for first-degree retail fraud.
JCPenney, 700 W. Fourteen Mile Rd., Sept. 7, 5:20 p.m.: Loss prevention advised two suspects were observed selecting a hat, with both trying it on and while one suspect tore off the price tag the other suspect acted as a lookout. One suspect placed the hat on his head and then both suspects left the store without paying for the merchandise. Loss prevention stopped the suspects and recovered the hat valued at $33. Both suspects had prior convictions for retail fraud. Officers searched the vehicle they were driving and discovered cocaine in the vehicle. The suspects admitted the cocaine was theirs. Both suspects were arrested for possession of cocaine and second-degree retail fraud.
Nordstrom, 2850 W. Big Beaver Rd., Sept. 7, 7:26 p.m.: Loss prevention advised the suspect was observed selecting lipstick and concealing it in his pants pocket. The suspect then left the store failing to pay for the lipstick. Loss prevention stopped the suspect and recovered the lipstick valued at $128. The suspect was arrested for third- degree retail fraud.
