'Bad Driver' Blames Xanax, Muscle Relaxants: Troy Police
Troy police hold woman on drug charges and suspected driving while under the influence of narcotics.

TROY, MI – A 30-year-old Westland woman stopped by Troy police last week reportedly admitted she was “driving poorly,” but her performance on police ordered sobriety field tests indicated there was more to her erratic driving.

Police initiated the stop at 11:27 p.m. after receiving a report of erratic driving on northbound Interstate 75, north of West Big River Road, on Dec. 23.

When they searched her purse, police found nine needles, a spoon with burn marks, and four clear bags containing heroin.

The woman was booked on suspicion of possession of heroin, possession of narcotic paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of narcotics.
