Bank of America Merrill Lynch Promotes Sean Silver

DETROIT – Bank of America Merrill Lynch has announced that Sean Silver will join the central region Global Commercial Banking team as market executive for the state of Michigan, serving middle market companies with annual revenues of $50 million to $2 billion. In this role, he will be responsible for leading a team of middle market bankers who provide commercial credit solutions, treasury management solutions, international banking, investment banking and retirement products.
Sean has more than 20 years of experience as a commercial banking relationship manager covering the middle market, and he built long term relationships with private and public companies across a wide variety of industries. Silver previously held various roles in Global Commercial Banking, including as a relationship manager, a sales performance manager in the central region and in the COO group.
“With Sean’s vast experience, he is a great fit for our Michigan team,” said Matt Elliott, Michigan President, Bank of America. “Sean is well-known to many of us through his years with GCB. He knows the region and the clients. We are fortunate to have him lead our middle market banking team in Michigan.”

Silver joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2008 as a senior relationship manager. From 2001 to 2008, he held a similar role at LaSalle Bank. Prior to 2001, Silver held various credit and relationship positions with Comerica Bank in Michigan.
Active in the community, Silver served multiple terms as a director and treasurer of La Casa Norte, a provider of comprehensive solutions for youth homelessness in Chicago. He also serves on the Board of Directors of USA Curling, is himself an avid curler, and is married to world champion and two-time Olympian in the sport of curling, Ann Swisshelm.

Silver earned his B.S.B.A. from Bowling Green State University.
