The hilarious twist on Hans Christian Anderson’s classic “Princess and the Pea” fairy tale comes to life on Boulan Park Middle School’s stage in Troy!

Join the cast for this one night only, free show that’s open to the public Friday April 27th at 7pm at Boulan: 3570 Northfield Pkwy, Troy.

Directors Joe Havrilla, Stephanie Beswick and Audrey Wright guide a cast and crew of over 50 6-8th grade students through this funny medieval story sure to delight audiences of all ages!

Once Upon A Mattress is the story of an unlikely princess named Winnifred, lovelorn Prince Dauntless and his overbearing mother, The Queen, who is intent on keeping him single. Add in knights, ladies, a few zany schemes and a long sleepless night and you have the unique tale of royal courtship, courage and true love!

The audience will enjoy a variety of songs from the energetic “Shy” to the raucous “Spanish Panic” to the romantic “Yesterday I Loved You”.
