Boulan Park Middle School 8th Graders Learn About Veteran's Day
Today, on the 11th day of the 11th month during the 11th hour, Boulan Park Middle School's 8th graders learned about Veteran's Day from some very special guests and members of the military (current and retired). They heard personal stories from US Army Lt. Col. (Ret) George Baker, US Marine Corps Lt. Col. (Ret) Andy Macoit, US Army Lt. Col. (Ret) Keke Langkamp, US Army Captain/Engineering officer Priscilla Ro and US Army Captain/Engineering officer Jhansi Nalla.
Students investigated MRE kids (Meals ready to eat), practiced shouting the military cheer "HUA" (Heard, Understood & Acknowledged), and learned the history behind the White Table, set for those who gave their life in defense of our nation's liberties.
