Do You Recognize Suspected Troy Serial Bank Robber?
Investigators think the same suspect is involved in a trio of bank robberies since April.

A Troy bank was robbed Tuesday morning, and police think the suspect — who remains at large — may have been involved in a robbery at the same bank in April.

The suspect, a white male in his 30s or 40s, entered the TCF Bank, 1484 Coolidge, at 10:50 a.m. and demanded money. Police said he indicated he had a weapon, but didn’t display one.

Witnesses described him as 5 feet, 9 inches to 5 feet, 11 inches tall, of medium build and possibly with brown hair.

On April 16, a man matching that description robbed the same bank. Investigators also believe that the same suspect may have robbed the TCF Bank at 2138 E. Big Beaver in Troy at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Sept. 10.
During the April incident, the suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, stonewashed type jeans and brown shoes. During the September incident, the suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with black tape over the chest logo, a black ball cap with tape over the logo,gray pants and possibly dark colored loafer shoes.
