Nearly 5,000 runners and walkers set off on 5K and half-marathon races today in Rochester Hills, where the <a href="https://rochester.patch.com/topics/Brooksie+Way" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Brooksie Way took place</a>. Among them were more than 100 Troy residents. Finishing first in the half marathon among Troy residents was Steve Zagacki, 41, with a time of 1 hour, 27 minutes and 57 seconds. That was good for 42nd place overall, and 39th in his age divison. In the 5K run, Brian Rebits, 39, ran in 20 minutes and 31 seconds for 17th overall and first in his age division. Kate Martin, 22, also took first in her division with a time of 22 minutes and 19 seconds.
