With Dangerous Wind Chills and Bitter Cold, Troy Opens Warming Shelters
Three warming centers offer restroom facilities, water and first aid.

Due to the bitter cold temperatures this week, the City of Troy has established short term Warming Centers that welcome individuals who are especially vulnerable to the harsh conditions due to power outages or heating problems.
These designated community organizations provide public safety by offering basic comforts like access to warmth, bathroom facilities, water, and basic first aid. It is recommended for visitors to bring a disaster supply kit to make your visit more comfortable. For more information, visithttp://www.ready.gov/kit
