Dead Body Found in Jeep Parked at Sterling Heights Drug Store

A woman called 911 after seeing 2 men pull a body from a car and put it in the Jeep. She then followed the men while keeping police updated.

A woman followed two men Wednesday night in Sterling Heights after she saw them pull a body from a car and put it in a black Jeep, according to a Newsradio 950 (WWJ-AM) report.

Sterling Heights police later found the body of a dead man between 18 and 20 years old with no ID in the back seat of that Jeep, which was parked in a CVS Pharmacy lot, 15142 Hall Road, the report stated. The body was still warm when officers arrived, and authorities are still trying to identify the man, so they can notify his family, the report added.

A woman called 911 at about 11:45 p.m. to report a suspicious incident, telling police she saw two men transferring what looked like an unconscious body from one vehicle to another. Once the men left, the woman followed them southbound on Hayes Road to 18 Mile Road, informing police what was happening the entire time, the report stated.

The men were eventually taken into custody and interviewed by detectives, the report stated. They have not been arrested or charged while police wait for autopsy results, the report added.

Authorities don’t know a cause of death yet, but investigators think drugs were involved, the report stated. The body showed no signs of trauma or foul play, the report added.
