Drunken Driver Falls Asleep Behind Wheel On Rochester Rd In Troy: Cops
Troy Police said they found the man asleep behind the wheel in his car that was stopped at light on Rochester Road.
TROY, MI — A Sterling Heights man is in trouble after officers had to help him put his car into park while he was drunk and asleep at a spotlight in Troy, police said.
Officers found the 24-year-old man asleep behind the wheel of a Chevy Cruze that was stopped at a light on Rochester Road near Barclay Drive around 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 3, police said.
Officers then woke the man and helped him park the car, police said.

The man told officers he was coming from a nearby bar and had a couple drinks before driving, police said. Troy Police said he then failed several sobriety evaluations.
Police then arrested the man and took him to the Troy Police Lock-Up facility, police said.

The driver initially blew a .137 BAC on a breathalyzer test before chemical breath tests revealed a BAC of .12, police said. He was ticketed for operating while intoxicated.
