The Troy Athens Red Hawk Marching Band is excited to host the 4th annual Troy Athens Invitational marching band competition on October 6, 2012 as part of The Michigan Competing Band Association (MCBA) circuit.
Bands from across Michigan will be performing -- including Mt. Pleasant, Atherton, Carman-Ainsworth, Parchment, Marysville, and Grand Blanc. In addition to the Athens Marching Band other local bands featured are L’Anse Creuse North, Novi, South Lyon, and Lamphere. Competing bands hope to achieve scores high enough to qualify for the State Finals at Ford Field in November.
The competition begins at 5:30 pm. Tickets will be on sale at the gate to the Athens stadium. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Athens High School is located at 4333 John R Road.
