Troy High Orchestra 20th Annual Gala Concert

The Troy High School Orchestras, under the direction of Alan R. MacNair, present the Twentieth Annual Gala Concert on Saturday, February 4, 2012.  The elegant evening, which features the Freshman, Concert and Symphony Orchestras along with the ever-popular Troy Country Fiddlers will begin at 7 pm at Troy High School’s auditorium, at 4777 Northfield Parkway in Troy, Michigan, with an afterglow immediately following.

Special Guest performers Adrienne Rönmark, Violinist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Troy High Orchestra Alumni, Debra Fayroian, former DSO Cellist, and Laura Rasmussen, Violinist, will join the orchestras to play highlighted music including Brahms’ Double Concerto for violin and cello, Mozart’s Overture Impressario, Sibelius’ Symphony no. 2.  Emmy Award-winning news anchor and reporter and Troy High Alumni Christy McDonald will act as Master of Ceremonies.

Refreshments (coffee, tea and sparkling cider) will be served, along with hors d’oeuvres provided by local eateries including  Auntie Suzie's Sweets, Cedar Grille, Hollywood Markets, Just Baked, Kalamatos, Maggiano's , Nino Salvaggio’s, Picano’s, Ridley’s Bakery, Sushi-Do, Tokyo Sushi, and Whole Foods, with flowers donated by Ye Olde Flower Shoppe and Accent Florists.
