Everyone is invited to the first USA Melting Pot club meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 31 at the Troy Public Library. Meetings will have an hour of ethnic, hobby and outdoor activity presentations followed by Table Time to promote conversational English.
Speakers: Fanghui Shi, Weilou Gao, Chinese culture; Bill Hughes, Bob Paull, Bicycling
June 28 and July will feature two other ethnic groups with large Troy populations (Indian and Korean) and two popular summer activities (canoeing and camping). August will be German culture and soccer.

- To celebrate ethnic background & cultural identity

- To encourage face to face dialogue in our increasingly technology-dependent world

During Table Time we will plan some of our 2012-3 activities:
- Annual summer pot-luck picnic at the Troy Historic Village August 19
- Walk in July 4 parade in Clawson, MI
- Go canoeing at Proud Lake, Milford, MI
- Train for a 50 mile bicycle ride this summer (organized ride in MI every weekend)
