Lesnau allegedly responded to the post by phone, heard the woman’s daughter crying and asked her what she would charge him to have sex with the 6-year-old. The woman reportedly tipped off the FBI and became an informant.
According to federal court records, the FBI tracked Lesnau’s phone number and IP address to a printing business he owns in Sterling Heights, then began monitoring text messages and phone calls to the informant. Lesnau reportedly asked for topless photos of the woman and her daughter “so I know you are for real,” and sent a text message offering to pay $200 for the encounter.
