Michael Meissner has joined Health Management Systems of America (HMSA) as director of business development and client strategies.

Meissner is responsible for new business strategy, growth as well as increasing HMSA’s visibility as an industry leading Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) and work-life productivity partner for public and private employers, educational institutions and bargaining organizations.

Meissner, a resident of Troy, has 25 years of employee benefit sales and management experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich.

Meissner held previous group insurance sales and sales management positions with: SSDC, EHIM, Great West Healthcare, Prudential, MetLife and John Hancock.
