iDashboards Raises $1,100 for Men's Health

Thirteen iDashboards employees participated in Movember to raise funds and awareness through internal initiatives

iDashboards, a pioneer in the business intelligence dashboard space, took on the challenge of “growing a mo to save a bro” this November and raised $1,100 for the Movember Foundation, all while tracking their funds through unique data visualizations. iDashboards CEO Shadan Malik made the announcement.

Founded in 2003, the Movember Foundation is an international awareness campaign for men’s health. With this in mind, iDashboards introduced a little more manliness to their already fun culture by hosting a variety of internal events to raise donations for the cause, including beer cart Friday, stachetastic cupcake Tuesday as well as fake mustache sales and a pizza party to wrap up the month. iDashboards also created a Movember Stachboard, a specialty dashboard, that displays each iDashboards ‘bro’ who participated in the event, their individual goals, charity, favorite celebrity stache and the total amount raised.

“Taking part in the Movember movement gave us an opportunity to support a foundation that deserves attention with an important cause—men’s health,” said Malik. “While it was exciting and fun to watch the men grow their mustaches and participate in the events throughout November, I’m proud to be part of a giving team and I know that the money we raised for the Movember Foundation will be put to good use.”

iDashboards regularly participates in charitable giving initiatives throughout the year. Most recently, iDashboards raised funds and awareness in support of Breast Cancer Awareness for the month of October. Employees collected monetary donations through internal events and took part in the Detroit Making Strides event—an annual walk helping to raise awareness for breast cancer. In December, the company will be donating their time at the Medbury Warehouse and Capuchin Soup Kitchen for the holidays.
