'I'm Going to Wring Your Neck,' Mad Mom Tells Hotel Bar Patron

A woman told police she was having a drink when another woman emptied out her purse and accused her of visiting her son's room.

TROY, MI — A woman who was sitting at a hotel bar recently told Troy Police she was accosted by a woman who accused her of visiting her son's room and threatened to hurt her.

The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 8 at Embassy Suites Hotel, 850 Tower Drive, according to a news release from the Troy Police Department.

After the suspect, a 51-year-old Grand Blanc woman, approached the victim, she grabbed her purse, dumped its contents on the ground and began going through them, stating "she was going to find out who she was," police said.

"She then got within inches of the victim’s face and stated, 'If I find you in my son’s room again, I’m going to wring your neck,' " police said. "The victim was shaken but had no idea what the suspect was talking about."

Police said they spoke with the suspect, who was staying at the hotel, but she claimed to have no recollection of the incident.

The hotel management asked her to check out and leave, which she did, police said.
