Man Breaks Into Troy Restaurant, Steals Up To $30K In Alcohol: Cops
Police said the man entered the restaurant through the roof and stole numerous cases of alcohol.
TROY, MI — A man was arrested after police said he broke into a Troy restaurant Sunday through the roof and stole $20,000-$30,000 worth of alcohol.
Police said witnesses spotted a man on the roof of the Jonathan Marks Restaurant at 1477 John R Road on Sunday afternoon at 3:33 p.m. Shortly later, witnesses said the man then got into a car and sped away from the restaurant.
Prior to arriving at the restaurant, officers stopped the car in the area of 14 Mile Road and Interstate 75 and found the man and two teenage passengers in the car, police said.

The driver did not have a driver's license and placed under arrest, police said. Officers also found a crowbar and about 8 "new packaged liquor bottles" in the backseat of the car.
The 24-year-old Detroit man was charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools, police said.

The two passengers in the car, a 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy, both from Detroit were also arrested on the same charges, police said.
The 19-year-old woman’s infant child was also in the car during the arrest. Police said the child was released to a family member.
Police said when officers entered the Jonathan Marks Restaurant at 1477 John R Road, they found a hole in the roof and a ladder descending to the floor.
Officers also found multiple doors were forced opened and numerous boxes of alcohol, valued at $20,000-$30,000, were missing.
