Man Charged In Troy Target Parking Lot Assault; Given $5.5M Bond
The man is also expected to face charges in connection to a woman who was found dead Tuesday morning in Detroit.
TROY, MI — A man is facing numerous charges after he was arrested in Dearborn Heights on Tuesday in connection to a Detroit killing and an assault outside a Target store in Troy.
Andrew Hall, 31, was charged with numerous felonies in the Troy assault, including:
- Unlawful imprisonment (up to 15 years in prison)
- Unlawful imprisonment (up to 15 years in prison)
- felon in possession of a firearm (up to five years in prison)
- carrying a concealed weapon (up to five years in prison)
- Attempted carjacking (up to five years in prison)
- Felonious assault (four years in prison)
- Five felony firearm violations (each count carries a mandatory sentence of two years in prison)
- Aggravated assault (a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in prison)
Hall was placed in jail with a $5.5 million bond. If he is able to post bond, he cannot have any contact with the victim and wear a GPS tether. He also cannot return to the Target that was the scene of the assault, as well as not to go to Troy or Clawson in total.

Police said a woman was getting into her car that was parked in a parking lot at a Target store at 1301 Coolidge Highway at 9:10 p.m. when Andrew Hall, 31, forced her driver's door open and attacked her.
Hall punched the woman numerous times in the face with a closed fist before pulling a handgun from his waistband, police said.

The woman fought back as a witness yelled at the attacker while running toward the woman, prompting Hall to run away, police said.
"This kind of violent crime affects all of us. It robs us of our sense of safety and security," Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said. "We will prosecute this individual to the fullest extent of the law and achieve justice for this victim, and our entire community."
Hall is also expected to face charges in connection to a woman who was found dead Tuesday morning in Detroit. Police said officers found the woman dead behind a building in the 300 block of West McNichols Road in Detroit. Police believe a knife may have been used in the killing.
