Man Tries Stealing Dinner From High-End Troy Restaurant: Police
A West Bloomfield man was arrested after trying to steal a $142 dinner from a Troy restaurant, Troy Police said.

TROY, MI — A West Bloomfield man was arrested after trying to steal a $142 dinner from a Troy restaurant, Troy Police said.
Police said the 30-year-old man placed the order at Morton’s Steakhouse on West Big Beaver Road on Oct. 19 using a credit card.
However, restaurant staff received a call moments later from a woman claiming that her credit card was charged for the order, which she did not place, police said. In addition, the woman did not authorize the $142 order, police said.

Restaurant staff then told officers about the incident and pointed out the man who placed the order was sitting at the bar waiting for the food to be ready, police said.
Troy Police then arrested the man and charged him with stealing/retaining a financial transaction device without consent. He was placed in the Troy’s police lock-up facility.
