Merrill Lynch advisors named to Forbes and Barron's top lists

Recognition for four metro Detroit wealth management advisors on both Forbes Best In State and Barron's Top 1,200 Lists

Merrill Lynch wealth management advisors Dana Locniskar, Frank Migliazzo, Melissa Spickler and Marie Vanerian, have been named to the Forbes “Best-in-State Advisors” 2019 list, as well as the Barron’s “Top 1200 Financial Advisors” national list for 2019.

Locniskar, Migliazzo and Vanerian work at the firm's Troy office and Spickler at its Bloomfield Hills office.

Locniskar joined Merrill Lynch in 1970 and has built an investment group in wealth management for high net-worth individuals, families and institutions. Locniskar serves on the boards of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, City Year and the Futures Foundation. He is chairperson of the Beaumont Foundation Planned Giving Committee.

Migliazzo has served with Merrill Lynch since 1979. He crafts investment portfolios that anticipate and respond to varied market environments. Migliazzo has a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and a master’s of business administration from the University of Detroit.

Spickler, who joined Merrill Lynch in 1980, holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation. Melissa is also a qualified Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing her own personalized or defined strategies. She earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal law from Michigan State University.

Vanerian began her career at Merrill Lynch in 1977. In 2001 Vanerian was granted the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation, through Wharton Business School, in conjunction with Investment Management Consultants Association. Vanerian has a bachelor's degree in economics from Michigan State University.
