Police haven’t confirmed it, but the family and friends of a 21-year-old Troy woman missing since April 23 said on Facebook that her remains had been found at a Hazel Park home.
Michigan State Police and Hazel Park police have been at a house at Hazelwood and Woodward Heights since Tuesday, WDIV-TV reports.
The administrators of the Help Find Jessica Leigh White Facebook page posted a memorial tribute, along with information that police had been called to the residence where White was last seen and discovered remains.
White reportedly left the Troy home she and her mother share late on the night of April 23 with a longtime friend, a 24-year-old man from Hazel Park. White reportedly texted her mother and a cousin early the next morning morning, but there has been no contact since, according to the report.
Black has said there have been inconsistencies in the story her daughter’s friend offered about her disappearance.
