Perp Snatches Purse from Van as Victim Studies in Back Seat: Police
The victim surprised the suspect, who police think may have broken into another van parked at the Troy Aquatic Center.

Troy, MI— Police are looking for a man who is accused of smashing the window and stealing a purse belonging to a female victim who was studying in the back seat of a van that was parked at the Troy Aquatic Center around 1:51 p.m. Saturday.
The purse contained the victim's Michigan driver license, several credit cards and a gift card. The victim got out of the 2008 Dodge Caravan and saw the suspect, a man in his 30s, jump into a black SUV and leave the parking lot, Troy police said in a news release.
Officers responding to the scene took a second report of van with a broken out vehicle in the parking lot of the Aquatic Center, located at 3425 Civic Center Drive.

The purse contained a wallet with $3 in currency, her driver's license, her bank debit/credit card, several credit cards, a phone charger, miscellaneous medications and miscellaneous papers, the police department said.
