Ridgedale Players Present Biology the Musical, July 24-25
Athens theatre students shine in Ridgedale Players production of Biology the Musical, Presented July 24-25

Everyone has dealt with the pandemic in a different way. Making sourdough bread, binging movies on Netflix among others. Berkley High School 2021 graduate Rebecca Ferber decided to write a musical about her missed senior year experience, to be performed by students. “Biology the Musical,” stars 6 Athens High School students and will be performed at the Ridgedale Community Theatre in Troy on July 24 & 25.
Biology the Musical centers around AP Biology students and their teacher as they prepare for their AP exam. It is a comedy written & scored by students for a cast of students, that explores the trials and tribulations of high school students in a funny, genuine way.
The cast of 18 is made up of local student actors, actresses and crew, including the following Athens High School students:

The idea behind Biology the Musical was born during the pandemic, when Ferber was missing all of the traditions of her senior year: “Theater has been a big part of my life since I was young and not knowing if I would be able to have a senior musical, I decided to write one myself. Each member of this production and the theater has been helpful and uplifting.”
Biology the Musical will be performed at Ridgedale Players Community Theater in four performances on an outdoor stage, and it is open to the public and appropriate for ages 13 and older.
