Royal Oak Man Charged in Fatal Hit-and-Run
Police caught up with the suspect after he took his car to a Troy dealership for repairs.

A 68-year-old Royal Oak man was released on $25,000 bond after he was arraigned Monday in connection with a June 28 fatal hit-and-run accident in Auburn Hills.
Angelo Diangelo was charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident, The Detroit News reports. Police say his vehicle struck and killed Ernest Carter, 55, of Belleville , who had stopped to check the taillights on his tractor-trailer.
Investigators had determined the car that struck Carter was a silver 2013 Ford Focus. When Diangelo took his vehicle, which matched the description, to a Troy dealership for service, employees contacted police.
