Troy, MI - Secrest Wardle sponsored the Forest Hills Central (FHC) Athletic Hall of Fame Golf Outing which took place on May 13, 2016, at the Thornapple Pointe Golf Club in Grand Rapids. The Firm served as a Platinum sponsor for the event. The Outing benefits athletes at FHC and honors former athletes and coaches. Executive General Partner Henry S. Emrich, Managing Partner of Secrest Wardle's Grand Rapids office, led a foursome for the outing. Joining Mr. Emrich were his son, Lucas Emrich, head PGA professional at Sunnybrook Country Club in Grand Rapids, Eric Doezema, CPA, Rehmann Group, and Bob Cole, President of Premier Professional Home Care.

Mr. Emrich's son-in-law, Eric Van Tongeren, Manager, Internal Audit at Meijer, was inducted into the FHC Athletic Hall of Fame. Mr. Van Tongeren is a two-time MHSAA State champion giant slalom and slalom (1997, 1998), Mid-American Cup Jr. Champion, Rocky Mountain/Central Trophy Series Jr. Champion, U.S. Ski Team Jr. Development Team (1998), and 2001 RMISA All Conference at Western State College of Colorado.
