Secrest Wardle Sponsors 34th Annual Tournament of Friendship Scholarship Fundraiser Golf Outing

Troy, MI - Secrest Wardle recently served as a sponsor for the 34th Annual Tournament of Friendship Scholarship Fundraiser Golf Outing. The event took place at Wheatfield Valley Golf Course in Williamston. Funds raised support scholarships for students at Michigan State University, Lansing Community College, and Davenport University pursuing degrees in criminal justice or firefighting. The program was founded in 1982.

The Tournament of Friendship annually provides two $4,000 scholarships to students enrolled in the Criminal Justice program at Michigan State University, $6,000 in scholarships to students enrolled in the EMS/Fire Sciences programs at Lansing Community College, and $4,000 in scholarships to students at Davenport University’s downtown Lansing campus. Secrest Wardle donated golf balls and tees for the event. Attorney Amanda Pileggi, of the Firm's Lansing office, volunteered at the event. Ms. Pileggi completed her law degree at Michigan State University College of Law. She currently serves as President of the Mid-Michigan Chapter of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. Ms. Pileggi had this to say about the event:
