Secrest Wardle Welcomes Associate Melissa Schoder

Melissa Schoder joins Secrest Wardle’s Troy office as an Associate. She is a member of the Firm’s Motor Vehicle Litigation Practice Group. Ms. Schoder passionately defends civil litigation cases with an emphasis on insurance defense matters including PIP, third party, general negligence and premises liability.

Ms. Schoder received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Pre-Law) and Criminal Justice from Michigan State University in 2010. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she spent a semester studying comparative politics in Australia. Ms. Schoder earned her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University in 2014. During law school, she acted as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Free Legal Aid Clinic, a non-profit organization focused on assisting the indigent of Wayne County in Family Law and Elder Law matters.

Ms. Schoder is licensed to practice law in Michigan. She was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2014. Ms. Schoder is also admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Courts of the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.
