Secrest Wardle Welcomes Partner Karolina M. McGovern

Karolina M. McGovern joins Secrest Wardle’s Troy office as a Partner. Ms. McGovern specializes in defending the interests of insureds and insurance companies in a range of first and third-party negligence, premises liability, and general negligence matters. She has additional experience litigating complex matters in a wide array of practice areas including personal injury, landlord-tenant, criminal, and family law. Ms. McGovern is a member of the Firm’s Motor Vehicle Litigation and Premises Liability Practice Groups.

Karolina McGovern earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Loyola University. Prior to attending law school, Ms. McGovern worked for Starcom Mediavest Group handling the Media Planning for several General Motors brands. While in law school, Ms. McGovern earned the Book Award for her academic achievements in the Small Firm Law Firm Program. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Young Lawyers section.
