Secrest Wardle Welcomes Partner Kevin Washburn to Troy Location
He is a member of Secrest Wardle's Commercial and Business Law, Employment and Intellectual Property/Advertising Injury Practice Groups
Kevin M. Washburn joins Secrest Wardle as a Partner. Mr. Washburn is located in the Firm’s Troy office and is a member of the Firm’s Commercial and Business Law, Employment and Intellectual Property/Advertising Injury Practice Groups. Throughout his legal career, Mr. Washburn has served a wide variety of corporate and individual clients. He has extensive experience acting as lead litigator on a variety matters as well as serving as supervisory counsel for outside contract counsel. Mr. Washburn has represented and advised corporate clients in a variety of litigation and transactional matters in the areas of business, intellectual property, privacy, technology, employment, real estate, shareholder disputes and corporate governance matters.
Mr. Washburn earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law in 2003 and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Grand Valley State University in 2000. As a law student, Mr. Washburn was a Board Member of the Res Ipsa Loquitor law school student publication and a student member of the American Inns of Court and American Bar Association. He was also a graduate of the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute at the Michigan State University College of Law.
In 2006, Mr. Washburn was named to Michigan Lawyers Weekly's list of Up & Coming Lawyers.
