Several Catalytic Converter​ Thefts Reported In Troy: Police

Residents in the Troy area reported several catalytic converter​ thefts from vehicles over the past several weeks.

TROY, MI — Residents in the Troy area reported several catalytic converter thefts from vehicles over the past several weeks, according to a Troy Police report. Here is information from the reports:

  • Victim reported an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from his 2004 Honda Odyssey on the 900 block of Century Drive from Dec. 17 to Jan. 14
  • Victims reported an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converters on a 2000 Ford Ranger and 2014 Ford Pickup at 1250 W Fourteen Mile Road, Jan. 14 between 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Victim reported an unknown suspect attempted to steal the catalytic converter from her 2016 Chevrolet Equinox, causing damage to the vehicle at 1250 W Fourteen Mile Road, Jan. 14 between 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Business reported an unknown suspect cut the catalytic converters off three work vans. Two of the catalytic converters were left behind in the parking lot and the third appears to have been taken by the suspect at the Emergency Restoration at 1401 E Fourteen Mile Road, Jan. 14 at 5:00 p.m. to Jan. 17 at 7:48 a.m.
  • Victim reports an unknown suspect stole the catalytic convertor from his 2011 Ford Escape on the 3100 block of Glouchester Avenue, Jan. 16 at 1:00 p.m. to Jan. 17 at 9:15 a.m.
  • Woodside church reported an unknown suspect(s) stole the catalytic converter from three church vehicles. An additional catalytic converter from the church work van was found on the ground outside the church following the theft at Woodside Church, 6600 Rochester, Jan. 18 between 12:45 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  • Victim reported an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from his Honda Element at 150 Stephenson Highway, Jan. 19 between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
