Somerset Collection's City Loft Event Runs Through Saturday
Somerset Collection brings designer retail shopping back to the heart of Detroit while benefitting local urban charities.
Somerset Collection will once again take its shopping experience downtown to Detroit’s new CityLoft.
CityLoft offers an old-fashioned feel of a block party combined with an upscale shopping event in the heart of downtown Detroit. The kickoff event in July drew shoppers from across Metro Detroit to the mini- experience.
Featuring items from about 40 Somerset Collection retailers City Loft brings mini boutiques to The Lofts of Merchant Row, 1441 Woodward for downtown shopping event that was once commonplace during the city's livelier retail years. The event runs 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday.

From designers such as , and to , and The Detroit Shoppe, the 4,000 square foot destination is a fun peek at Somerset shopping in the heart of Detroit. This weekend the selling space has expanded to an additional 3,000 square feet in the gallery next door to CityLoft.
Friday night's event will feature a Fall Fashion Show at Campus Martius Park at 8:30 p.m. That event is free to attend.

Musical entertainment and informal modeling will take place throughout the three-day event. There will also be $2 boxed lunches Thursday and Friday for those who want to stop in during their lunch hour.
This weekend's event will offer guests special offers from merchants. Somerset is giving away $10 gift cards with every $100 spent.
Shuttle services feature Cadillac Escalades that will transport guests between downtown offices and hotels. Valet parking is also available.
Somerset announced during its kickoff event in July that a portion of the proceeds from the even will go to help ID (Improve Detroit) 1441, a recently created fund started by that aims to donate money to Detroit-based charities.
