Somerset Mall In Troy Catches Fire: Officials

TROY, MI — Firefighters battled a blaze at Somerset Mall in Troy on Monday afternoon, the Troy Fire Department confirmed.

The fire started on the first floor in the kitchen area of the Capital Grille, officials said. Firefighters were still working to put out hot spots in the area.

No injuries were reported by officials.

A social media video showed black smoke rising from the roof of the mall's northside.

Fire officials advised people to avoid the area.

Officials were still investigating the fire of the fire.
