What is it? What is causing this?
Is it my job? Is it my appearance? Is it my family? My friends? My attitude? What could it be?
First, I wrote down what ever popped into my head. Once I wrote it down, I walked away, drank a glass of water, came back and looked at my list. What does all of this have in common? Me! I am in the middle of all of this. How could I have gotten myself into this and how can I get myself out of this? I can’t control how it is presented to me, but I sure can control how I react to it.
Next I congratulated myself on this self awareness.
Part of this situation is good and part of it is not. Let me think about this. How can I make it my own; more positive, more productive. All of this is fixable.
Let me start with the one thing I can change. Me! How can I make this work for me?
I work best in a positive arena. So, I will start there and make it positive. What ever it is I will see it as a positive. I will ask myself what are the positive points and I will lead with that. Now, I am on the right track and feeling confident. Maybe, the more difficult the situation is, the more focus I will need. I have gone in a direction, that doesn’t function well with my thought process. With that revelation, let me start this intriguing journey.
This is a learning experience. I will not see it as series of failures, I will see it as opportunities for change. Something has to change and I am happy to say it is me!
