Summer Fun at the Boys and Girls Club of Troy
The Boys and Girls Club of Troy serves local youth aged 6-18 with its annual Summer Program, a fun, safe, and affordable 11-week experience.
The Boys & Girls Club of Troy Summer Program is a fun, safe, and affordable experience for kids ages 6-18. The program runs for 11 weeks starting June 15 from 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
We offer a positive and safe environment where programs and activities are led by our caring, responsible, and professional adult staff. Our 18,000 square foot facility includes a gymnasium, games room, technology/learning center, art/music room, teen center and more. We also have access to large outdoor recreation and sports areas due to our proximity to Barnard Elementary School as well as Raintree Park.
Our drop-in program provides parents with great flexibility to tailor visits to the Club in accordance with family plans including vacations. Activities and programs are scheduled throughout the entire day, giving members the opportunity to switch hourly and choose from a variety of options, including but not limited to: arts & crafts, music & drama, sports skill building, recreational games & leagues, computer/iPad skills & games, clubs, movies, outdoor games and much more.
Registration for the Boys & Girls Club of Troy Summer Program starts at just $330 per child ($380 after April 26), with an additional $60 annual membership fee required. This grants access to our members beyond the summer, allowing participation in the Club’s after-school programming which runs September-June.
Club activities are age appropriate, as members are classified into groups based on age - Starters (6-7), Cadets (8-9), Juniors (10-12) and Teens (13+).
The Club also makes Field Trip packages available each summer. The Water Fun Pass ($120/child) includes a visit to a local beach or water park every week, and the Variety Pass ($160/child) incorporates some of the aquatic activities as well as fun local destinations such as the Detroit Zoo. These two packages are options for our members aged 8-12 while our Teen Field Trip package ($235/child) is geared towards the 13+ crowd.
Fun, non-competitive leagues in four sports – basketball, dodgeball, soccer, and flag football – give members opportunities to hone their athletic skills and boost their physical fitness levels (teen-only leagues are offered in basketball and dodgeball). Our STEM programs allow members to investigate and explore the latest Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math concepts through teamwork, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
