AT&T Boosts Network Coverage at 2 Beaumont Hospital Locations
The upgrade gives customers more reliable wireless connections.
AT&T has boosted its mobile internet coverage at Beaumont Hospital’s Royal Oak and Troy locations by improving coverage through distributed antenna systems, which means a better mobile experience for employees, patients, visitors and their families.
A Distributed Antenna System (DAS) is made of numerous, small antennas that distribute AT&T wireless network coverage to provide extra cellular capacity and shorten the distance a call or text must travel. Simply put—calls, texts and posts are less likely to get stuck in a data “traffic jam.”
“We want our customers to have a great network experience wherever they are, no matter what they’re doing – whether that’s making a call, checking email, downloading apps or surfing the internet,” said David C. Lewis, president, AT&T Michigan. “We’re continuing to invest in our network, and providing enhanced wireless coverage at Beaumont is just one way we’re investing in Royal Oak and Troy.”
