AT&T Brings Faster Network to Troy, Other Oakland County Communities

Upgrades will mean faster uploads, texts and video streaming on the network.

AT&T has upgraded a cell site in Troy and two other communities in Oakland County.

In the vicinity of W. Long Lake and Crooks roads, Troy employees and residents will notice faster service when watching videos, texting with family and friends or posting to social media.

There also have been upgrades in Southfield at Lahser and Eight Mile roads and in Waterford at M-59, near Pontiac Lake Road.

"We want our customers to have a great experience. They'll be able to download, upload, stream and play games faster than ever before on our 4G LTE network," said Jim Murray, president, AT&T Michigan. "We're always working to provide better coverage. And we're investing in our wireless network to accomplish this."
