AT&T Upgrades Network in Oakland County

Troy Tower Among Those Getting Improvements

A tower in Troy is among four in Oakland County getting a speed and capacity boost on the AT&T network, thanks to recent upgrades.

The improvement should be noticed between Stephenson Highway and I-75, south of east Maple Road.

Towers in Southfield, Auburn Hills and Clarkston also got improved 4G LTE.

These upgrades are like adding more lanes to a highway carrying traffic from a customer’s device to the cell tower, resulting in faster speeds.

“We want our customers to have a great experience. They’ll be able to download, upload, stream and share photos faster than ever before on our network— which is the nation’s largest and most reliable**,” said David C. Lewis, president, AT&T Michigan. “We’re always working to provide better coverage. And we’re investing in our wireless network to accomplish that.”
