School officials notified parents in an email blast that the employee in question has been placed on administrative leave and will remain on leave until the investigation is completed. The school district is cooperating with police, Superintendent Steve Matthews said.

“Student safety is critically important to us,” said Matthews, who said the school district put the teacher on leave “as soon as we were informed” of the police investigation.
