Troy Athens Red Hawk Marching Band Takes 6th Place in the State

The Troy Athens Red Hawk Marching Band performed its 2015 competition show “Blast Off! An Adventure in Space” for an enthusiastic crowd on November 7 at Ford Field at the Michigan Competing Bands Association State Finals. The 120 –member band place 6th in the highly competitive Flight I category, earning a score of 91.075. Bands at state finals are judged in six categories on both their music and their on-field performance. The Red Hawks now head to Indianapolis where they will compete against some of the best bands in the country at the Bands of America Grand National Championships in Lucas Oil Stadium on Thursday, November 12.
