Troy Colt Marching Band Hosts MSBOA Festival

Troy Colt Marching Band MSBOA Preview

As the fall marching season marches forward, the Troy Colt Marching Band’s halftime show We Go Together continues to wow audiences with its toe-tapping musical score as they head into MSBOA Festival. You’ve never seen a high school band move like the TCMB as they dance, twirl, hand-jive, jazz-run to their rendition of the hit musical Grease. At 235 members strong, their presence and sound are truly something to experience as the band aims for perfection.

The Troy Colt Bands are honored to host the MSBOA (Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association) District XVI Marching Band Festival on Wednesday, October 16. “We are excited to once again be hosting seven fine marching bands from MSBOA District XVI. For the TCMB, it is always a peak performance and we can hardly wait to share our production,” says Director of Bands, Brian Nutting.

Joining the TCMB on the Troy High football field are marching bands from Clawson, Hazel Park, Avondale, Rochester, Rochester Adams, Athens, Warren Mott and the Troy Athens Redhawk Marching Band. During the Festival, the schools will be evaluated by the MSBOA judges who provide feedback on their performances. The bands are rated on a scale from 1 to 5 with 1 being the highest possible rating (“Superior”). The Festival is open to the public: tickets may be purchased through the Troy High Band Boosters via e-mail thbb_president@troycoltbands.org, or at the gate for $3/adult and $2/student and seniors.
